Graduation Ceremony: Graduation will be held on Tuesday, May 25th, 2021 at the ExtraMile Arena on the Boise State University campus. The ceremony will begin at 7:00pm. The doors will be open to the public at 6:00pm. Graduates will enter through the aux gym and need to arrive prior to 6:30pm. Graduates will be required to be seated by 6:45pm in their assigned seats. Gray facemasks will be provided upon arrival and required for all graduates.
Guests: We are thrilled to announce that each graduate will be allowed 4 guest tickets! Tickets will be distributed electronically via graduate emails, and then they will transfer tickets to 4 guests of their choice. Ticketmaster is handling the electronic tickets and event staff at ExtraMile arena will require an electronic ticket for admission. Capital High School does not have control over this process and is not responsible for how tickets are distributed by the graduates. More information will be provided once the tickets are ready to be distributed electronically through Ticketmaster.
Live Stream: The ceremony will be live streamed and the link will be provided approximately one week prior to the event.
Caps and Gowns: If you haven’t ordered your Cap and Gown package yet, please contact Jostens as soon as possible at 208-343-0175.
Tuesday, May 18: Cap and Gown Distribution for Capital and BOS Students, Auditorium Foyer 7:30am - 12:30 pm.
All fines must be paid and books/chromebooks/etc. returned before students will receive their cap and gown.
In order to promote a sense of unity and decorum, no decoration is allowed on the cap, gown, stole, or tassel. (i.e. no leis, corsages, medallions, etc). Graduates may need bobby pins to secure their cap. Remember to try on your caps and gowns when they arrive. If there are any issues, call our local Jostens office, 208-343-0175, to make sure any potential problems can be fixed. Jostens will also be on site at our graduation ceremony to help with last minute emergencies.

Graduation Attire: Graduation is a formal occasion. Suggested attire for male graduates is a dress shirt and tie, slacks, and dress shoes. Suggested attire for female graduates is a dress or nice top with a skirt or slacks and low-heeled shoes. Students who wear cutoffs, shorts, flip-flops and other inappropriate attire will be asked to change or not participate in the ceremony.

SENIOR SCHEDULE/INFORMATION FOR MAY 17TH - 20TH
May 17th - 20th: Senior Finals All classes are regular length
Monday, May 17th Periods 0 & 7 Exams (Full regular day)
Tuesday, May 18th Periods 5 & 6 Exams (Seniors released after 6th period final, Caps & Gowns distributed)
Wednesday, May 19th Periods 3 & 4 Exams (Seniors released after 4th period,)
Thursday, May 20th Periods 1 & 2 Exams (Seniors have Senior Walk*, Senior Assembly, Senior Graduation Party After Lunch) *Please be sure to bring your cap & gown to school for Senior Walk.
Tuesday, May 18: Cap and Gown Distribution, Auditorium Foyer 7:30am - 12:30 pm. All fines must be paid before students will receive their cap and gown.
Thursday, May 20: Senior Finals, Senior Walk, Senior Best, yearbook distribution, and Senior Graduation Party Seniors will attend and take finals in periods 1 & 2. Following 2nd period, seniors will report to the gym and put on their caps and gowns for the senior walk. Seniors will start walking the hallways during 3rd period while pomp and circumstance plays. Students will report to the gym for the Senior Best assembly. Once the assembly ends we will distribute yearbooks. Then seniors will go out to the senior party on the football field. Capital boosters will be providing food, drinks, a raffle, DJ and music, games, picture booth and
○ Masks must be worn at all times. We highly encourage you to bring your own masks, although we do have some available.
○ Bring your device/Chromebook.
○ We have hand sanitizing stations, but it might also be a good idea to bring your own personal sanitizer to keep with you throughout the day.
○ Backpack, no lockers unless given approval by the assistant principals
○ Water Bottle, drinking fountains only have filling stations
● Be Safe: Our ability to stay in school and participate in activities depends on all of us.
○ Wear a mask at all times except when eating in designated areas
○ If you carpool with someone you don’t live with wear a mask and roll your windows down
○ Practice social distancing when off campus
○ Don’t share masks
○ Wear a clean mask every day

STUDENT DROP OFF & PICKUP ZONE
Attention Parents & Students, the student drop off zone is in the East Parking lot.
Parents and Students will no longer be able to drop off/pickup students at the front of the School, due to continued issues with buses not being able to gain access to the bus pickup/drop off zone. Please help keep the drop off area running smoothly by pulling all the way up to the student entrance double doors near the south end of the east student parking lot.

Bus transportation will be provided for both a 7:30 a.m. arrival and 4:00 p.m. departure. No school bus will be available at noon, but there may be a city bus stop nearby. Valley Ride can be reached at 208-345-7433. Students requesting bus transportation will be able to see their pick up and drop off locations and times in Infinite Campus prior to Summer School beginning. Check frequently for updates in Infinite Campus.
ABSENCES: 90% attendance is required by District Policy. 2 DAY LIMIT! (2 days equal 8 hours of learning, per class) In the normal school year, that is 8 days.
SUMMER VOLLEYBALL INFORMATION
We will also have our Youth Camp on June 25th and 26th from 9-12:30. It is $100 and that includes 2 camp shirts. More information can be found on our website!

Here is some information on our summer program. This is written in pencil during this COVID year, but I am gaining confidence that we will be able to conduct a much more normal summer. I wanted to get you the tentative info now so you can plan. We will provide you with a much more detailed calendar in the near future. The BSU camp will be a Day Camp. Our athletes will stay at their homes. When they provide me with finalized pricing info and the paperwork, we will get it to you. They were just given permission by the NCAA to have their camps. We cannot wait to get this thing started and are very excited about our potential.
SPRING BALL – Monday, May 24 th -Thursday, May 27 th 3:30-5:15
Tuesday is graduation – we will go from 3:00-4:45
SUMMER PROGRAM – June 1 st – July 29 th (Mon.-Thurs.) 8:00-10:00AM

The first day is a passing tourney. We will take incoming 9 th -12 th graders to this camp.

YOUTH FOOTBALL CAMP
Hello parents and players and welcome to the 2021 Capital Eagles football season! We are excited for this year as we start our YOUTH football camp this season. We have drills, competitions, and team events each night with the athletes. Each player will receive a camp t-shirt and will be able to connect with players and coaches.
