K-5 Music is in the band room at FHS for WIDA training
6-8- Arts- Join WIDA training in the morning and then Anne Ludes workshop in the FHS cafeteria after lunch
9-12 Arts- Joe Corazzini workshop from 8-10, NEASC from 10-11:30, Anne Ludes workshop from 12-2:00

Was amazing to see the FFMB rush the field at state championships on Sunday to celebrate the best Drum Major and a platinum award. Even though they missed first place by less than a point, they were overflowing with joy at their accomplishments. Way to go! PS- Framingham actually tied with first place Shepherd Hill for the best music award. Farewell Legend of Sleepy Hollow~Great show!!!

- FHS Art Department will have an art show at the Framingham Public Library for the month of November. The show will open on November 6.
Teacher Feature- Sheron Doucette
- ^Sheron has been directing and teaching Drama at Walsh Middle School since 2001. She has developed the middle school Drama curriculum from a pilot program to the collaborative curriculum that is now part of the 6th, 7th and 8th grade trimester schedule. She attended American University and received her undergraduate degree studying Art and Theatre at Regis College with a Masters Degree in Education in Creative Arts and Learning from Lesley University. Sheron co-authored the book Knowing Myself, Understanding Others as a tool for educators to teach empathy through the Arts at the middle school level. She has directed numerous musical productions and plays professionally and at all educational levels from elementary school to high school. Past theatre experience includes opening the Elliot Norton Award-winning, Boston Theatre Works in 1999, Stage Manager in Residence at Tennessee Repertory Theatre as well as working in theaters throughout Massachusetts as a member of Actor’s Equity Association. She is co-owner of Do Sets Design, a theatrical prop and scenery design and rental company. Sheron was the founding Educational Director for Reagle Music Theatre of Greater Boston and taught Theatre and Creative Expression for the Boston Symphony Orchestra's, Days in the Arts program. Above all else, she is a proud stage mother. Her most artistic creation will be a Junior at FHS this year.
