The early Ojibwe went to lakes in the fall time to harvest wild rice when it is ripe. Also they harvest rice for the winter time to survive the harsh cold. The reason wy Ojibwe came to Minnesota was because of a prophecy. That food grew on water so they traveled the way from eastern Canada all the way to Minnesota.

Once they moved to there fall camps they started to fish. There main way of fishing was they would way a net into the water and they would wait. That simple but they also caught fish by using spears.
