Spirit Week is happening this week at HP 10/3-10/7

Spirit week is here, show your school spirit by participating in the following theme days!!


Monday 10/3 - Backpack Day (use anything but your backpack)

Tuesday 10/4 - Black and White Day (wear all black/white or both)

Wednesday 10/5 - Formal Day (dress to impress)

Thursday 10/6 - Sports Jersey Day (wear your favorite team jersey)

Friday 10/7 - Pajama Day!!

S.U.N. Program Update

Families our SUN program is in search of a new coordinator. Unfortunately, this means our SUN program will not begin on schedule. We are working with our community partner IRCO (Immigrant & Refugee Community Organization) who will be hiring for this position and hope to have someone in place soon. If you have called to speak to our SUN coordinator please know these messages are not being checked regularly.


We also want to remind families that we do have our before and after school child care through Champions. We partner with Champions by providing a space for child care. They are not supervised or connected to Harrison Park and are a for profit organization. If you have questions in regards to this program please contact them directly at: ch001667@discoverchampions.com

Site Council Volunteers

Are you a parent, family or community member interested in participating in our site council at HP? We are looking for 3-4 members to join our group. As a site council member you will help develop, monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of our School Improvement Plan. Members will meet up to six times a year.

Golf Opportunity for Grades 6-8

Are you are interested in having your 6th, 7th or 8th graders in learning golf.

A free opportunity taking place at Coldwood Golf Course @ 7313 NE Columbia Blvd. on Saturday's.

This is a first come, first serve basis with only 8 spots available. You will need to provide transportation to and from the golf course.

One Chip Challenge

This week we have had many students come to school with the one chip challenge. Please do not send your child to school with these. They have caused students who participated to become very sick and in some cases we do not know what from.

We appreciate your cooperation with this.

Drop off and Pick up

Students need to be dropped off at the curb and make every effort to exit curbside.

Please make an effort to utilize the crosswalk near the 1st-3rd grade entrance.

Avoid parking in driveways, bus zone and blocking others in.

Please arrange for where your children will be picked up - a suggestion is all of your children meet in the youngest child's exit location.

We are noticing long delays to turn onto Division, please be mindful of this and patient as others pick/drop off their children.

  • Have a pre-arranged appointment
  • Displaying any COVID symptoms or known exposure can restrict school entry

Doors Open for:

6th-8th and K-5 bus riders (in the cafeteria) @ 8:38am

K-5 @ 8:53am

Please do not drop your child off earlier than these times as adult supervision is not available.


If you are the parent of a student in BOTH middle school and K-5 classroom and your students will be arriving together, please CALL the office and we can make arrangements for your K-5 student to be supervised upon your middle school student's entrance to the building.
