Individualism
Richmond Aisabor and Austin Sharkey
Individualism is the Zeitgeist of America
What makes America stand out is the extent it will go to be independent. In the days of the revolution, a group of colonist went out in Native American attire and raided British ships dumping tea. This was known as the Boston Tea Party and will forever be a widely historic day.
It keeps us different,
American's wearing Native American clothing shows a diffusion of culture. The Bostonians adopted native culture and made it into their own, pushing colonist further away from being British. It builds an American Identity different from the old English one.
Our country was founded from it,
Colonists grew tired of the parliament and the rule of King George. He was cold and didn't treat his subjects right. The colonies were differing and saw politics dissimilar to old England. Soon they wanted to be independent and got it through blood, sweat and tears.
it makes role models and heroes
The colonies were blessed with great leaders such as General George Washington and others. They lead the young nation into a path of greatness and success. A feat that King George failed to do.
Individuality is what sets us apart
The 13 colonies went through hard struggles to become what they became. Their independent and free mindedness brought them success in the long run. Writing a new constitution and rejecting old school ways lead to an improved government. In general, America is an individualist, who is not afraid to do things differently and be self-reliant
