COUNSELOR UPDATE FROM MRS. SCHMOLK

SEL DAY ON FRIDAY, MARCH 10
At Richland, students have the opportunity during Caring School Community time to build their Social-Emotional Learning daily. On Friday, March 10, 2023 schools around the world will be celebrating SEL day. It’s a day when students, educators, and families can show their support for social-emotional learning in school. Throughout the week to show our support, Richland will have daily announcements and activities to support the social-emotional learning of our students.
This is also a chance for you to celebrate the work your child is doing to build important life skills like learning the 7 Habits, handling big feelings, being kind to others, and solving problems. We also want to thank you for supporting your child's social-emotional development and we appreciate all you're doing for them!
WEDNESDAY IS WORLD MATH DAY!
March 8th is World Math Day. Richland is learning more about this world event in hopes that we can participate. On 8 March 2023, millions of students across the globe will come together for World Math Day – the world’s largest online mathematics competition. Look for more information to come shortly from your child’s classroom teacher.
