We have completed our first week of school for the 21-22 school year! First, I would like to say thank you for your support and patience as we worked on students' schedules. You are an amazing group! Please be sure to review the student handbook, if you have not done so. It is posted on our homepage and students received a copy in their homeroom. If you have questions, please let us know.
This school year, we welcome new Assistant Principal Tom Quinlan. He is no stranger to Brunswick County Schools. He served assistant principal at Supply Elementary and has a extensive back ground in Special Education. He will serve as the administrator for 8th grade, EC, and 504 students.
Interim Assistant Principal Ronnie Jenkins is also no stranger to Brunswick County Schools. He has served as an assistant principal and principal in Brunswick County. He will serve as interim assistant principal until Mrs. Mallory Agee's return in October. Mr. Jenkins will serve as the 6/7 grade administrator. He will also assist you in transportation needs. We welcome him back, once again!
We have several new teachers and staff this year...all of which will and has been a great asset to LMS!
Please remind students to adhere to schoolwide and classroom expectations.
There is a special treat set aside for students on Friday 9/3. I think that they will enjoy it!
This year during our Enrichment/WIN time, students will focus on math and reading concepts. When checking Powerschool, you will see "Content Literacy" or "Content Math". Students will receive a grade for this class. Feel free to give us a call if you have questions concerning Enrichment. We will use IXL programs, Math 180, Lexia, and small group interventions. On this Friday, we will begin integrating our Friday Feature, where students may select an activity that they would like to attend. Teachers have the option of keeping students in their class, if students need further assistance in a class. The purpose of the Enrichment period is to ensure that students receive extra academic support. Our goal is student academic success!
Let's make it a great week!
