A Note From Mr. Christ
Dear Paddock Families,
We are looking forward to a busy and exciting week at Paddock School that will be culminated with our Halloween parade and classroom parties on Friday. You may send your child to school in their Halloween costume on Friday so that they do not need to change when they get to school. Please see the Halloween information below for the schedule of activities and to answer any questions you may have regarding costume wearing. We are excited for this fall celebration after a busy few months of learning.
Sincerely-
Jason Christ
Principal
Halloween
As a reminder - per the Student Handbook: Students are permitted to wear costumes on Halloween as long as their attire complies with the student appearance policy and meets the following set of expectations for a school setting:
- Children should not wear bloody, gruesome, or especially scary costumes. Costumes involving fake blood are not allowed.
- Actual weapons, look-alike weapons, toy weapons or weapon-like objects are not allowed.
- Masks that cover the face and head are not allowed.
- Costume make-up is allowed provided it does not cover the student’s entire face. Staff members must be able to identify students.
- Costumes that could be offensive or perpetuate a stereotype about someone’s culture, gender, heritage or religion are not allowed.
- Reminder: Students are expected to wear a face covering/mask to school each day.
While we know this is not the same Halloween experience as we have offered prior to COVID – we are trying to bring a level of familiarity and fun to the children during this Halloween season while also ensuring safety protocols are adhered to.
We appreciate your cooperation with these guidelines and can’t wait for all the fun next week has to offer!

Masks
Please make sure you are sending at least 1-2 additional clean masks with your child each day. These masks should be well fitting and cover both the student's nose and mouth without the student needing to continually pull the mask up. Having a well fitting mask is imperative to keeping our students safe and limiting close contacts, should a positive case arise. Thank you for your help in this.
Safety Drills
Monday, October 25th will be our next scheduled Fire Drill. Teachers will review the safety expectations and procedures with their students prior to the drill. This will be our last Fall safety drill.
