News and Tidbits
We are looking forward to an exciting and productive week at school! This week is the Falcon Ridge Spring Spirit Week. Check out the description of the days below.
The State of Idaho Department of Education asks all families to participate in a yearly engagement survey. Please take a moment to complete this survey below.
The musical arts department will be kicking off spring with recorder instruction for our fourth grade students. Check out the important information and updates from Mr. Wagner in this newsletter.
The character trait for the month of March is patience. The definition of patience is to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset.
Please note that Spring Break starts next week! We are so blessed to enjoy two weeks of break this year. Following Spring Break, our middle school students will be resuming school five days each week.
Have a great week!

Want to Serve? Upcoming Board Vacancies
We have a unique year this year concerning the Board as four terms will expire on June 30, 2021. This will open up a need to fill the four seats for a possible two or three year term. If you are interested in being involved in your student’s education and would like to serve on the Board, there is an application to fill out on the website. Please consider this opportunity, complete the form, and send it to school or aheida@falconridgecharter.org before May 7.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me.
Thank-you so much,
Alice Heida

Attention 4th Grade! Important Updates from Mr. Wagner
Fourth Grade parents and guardians, we will be starting our 6 week lesson block on learning to play the recorder soon. Falcon Ridge has graciously purchased instruments for each on-site enrolled student. One recorder is available to each student, and the student may keep the instrument.
Students may take the instrument home, or keep them in their backpack or desk at school. It is extremely important that students have their recorders on music specialist days. Keeping their recorder in their backpack when not being used is a great practice to follow.
Beginning any instrument can be fun, but sometimes loud and annoying to others! After a few classes, the sound will improve, I promise! Please enforce with your student to be thoughtful of people around them.
Thank you for your support in this program. Please contact me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
Mr. Wagner

Dismissal:
Process for Dismissal Changes Made During the School Day:
We understand and expect that dismissal changes can and do occur any time during the school day. Your student's safety is our priority. If you have a dismissal change that needs to be communicated to your student and their teacher, please follow our dismissal change process:
Dismissal change before 12pm, please email the teacher directly.
Dismissal change after 12pm, please email the teacher and office or call the front office.
It is important that the front office be aware of all dismissal changes after 12pm to help ensure the dismissal change is received by your student and their teacher.
