Celebrating the STEM Class of 2018!
"Oh, the Places You'll Go..."
A Message to the STEM Class of 2018
Dear STEM Class of 2018,
As yet another school year comes to a close, I would like to personally congratulate all of you for your amazing accomplishments.
And while I relish your extraordinary academic successes, I am equally as proud of the manner in which you continuously and consistently represented Kingsway Regional High School each and every year. Whether it was your exemplary behavior in the classroom, your polite demeanor during STEM field trips, or your impressive student voice during various events promoting the Academy Programs, you continued to astound me with your exemplar character.
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, “The function of education is to teach one to think intensively and to think critically. Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education.” This graduating STEM cohort embodies this goal, and for that I thank you.
Congratulations again and good luck!

Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine
On May 11, 2018, Juniors and seniors went to Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. This education experience exposed our students to osteopathic medicine versus allopathic medicine to enable the students to make informed decisions when majoring in college. Our students were paired up with current medical students to discuss the journey that brought them to PCOM. Students were also able to experience first the anatomy lab, which had biomedical students showing students the highlights studied over the course of the year. Students also experienced the simulation labs and practiced surgical techniques as well as CPR.
Kingsway Heads Back to Rowan University this Summer
We are excited to announce that Anirudh Muralidharan, Connor Zabielski, Madison Meyers, and Zalak Modi have been accepted into Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine’s summer program, RAISE. This marks the second year Kingsway students have been invited to attend.
The Summer RAISE Program is a tuition-free 6-week summer science enrichment program for high achieving 11th and 12th grade high school students from local area high schools. The Raise Program is designed to promote an interest in medicine (with an emphasis on Osteopathic Medicine.) The program will blend didactic (hands-on) experiences such as dissection, suturing and intubation workshops along with active participatory experiences (non-patient) which will include: shadowing of clinical & basic Science faculty members in a clinical setting.
