Feast of St. Ann Holy Hour & Ice Cream Social
This is a perfect mid-summer opportunity for our school to share in our faith as a united spiritual community.

Thank you, Mrs. Kelly Donilon!
Please join me in thanking Mrs. Donilon for her dedication to St. Ann's as she moves on to share her kind and caring spirit with the students and staff in the Brandywine School District. In addition to her leadership in the classroom, we thank Mrs. Donilon for all of the important work she did coordinating the St. Ann schedule and special events and experiences for the eighth graders, among other often unseen tasks. For nearly a decade, she has been a true asset to our community, and she will be missed.
Though I am new to St. Ann's, I know I can speak confidently for the whole community when I say that we wish her well and hope for a successful and happy transition to Mrs. Donilon's new school and role as a dedicated Social Studies teacher.
St. Ann's families, especially those of our eighth graders, please rest assured that we are already diligently working to identify the best new teacher to join our middle school. Eighth grade is an important and culminating year for students, and, trusting that God's plan is in motion, we will treat this responsibility to find a new teacher with the most serious care and attention. The job will be posted both on our school website and with the Catholic Schools Employment Page online. Interviews will begin this week. In the meantime, should rising eighth graders have questions about summer assignments, or otherwise wish to contact Mrs. Donilon, please know that she will be available to SAS students via email until August 1, 2022. After that date, you may direct all needs to our main office.
I ask you to join me in prayer, both for Mrs. Donilon and St. Ann's School:
Lord God,
your spirit of wisdom fills the earth
and teaches us your ways.
Look upon Mrs. Donilon.
Let her strive to share her knowledge with gentle patience
and endeavor always to bring the truth to eager minds.
Grant that she may follow Jesus Christ,
the way, the truth, and the life,
forever and ever.
Look upon Saint Ann School.
Send your Holy Spirit to guide us as we seek a new middle school teacher.
Send your Holy Spirit to guide those who are searching for employment.
Deepen our desire to follow Your will.
Inspire us as we meet applicants.
Give us patience throughout this process.
Shelter us from the feeling of uncertainty.
Let this time of searching become an opportunity for us to grow in faith, cultivate the virtue of hope, and experience Your love.
We ask this through Christ our Lord,
Amen.

One Body in Christ: Our Spiritual Theme
Our theme for the 2022-2023 school year invites us to reflect on the Eucharist as the
source and summit of our lives. Monthly, we will focus on specific areas of Catholic Social Teaching to strengthen our work in recognizing Christ in others and in serving them as he did.
I invite you to spend a few quiet moments considering how we can be Christ for others using the words of St. Teresa of Avila, AKA St. Teresa of Jesus:
