Parent Volunteers!

Get involved in your child's school today!

Show your kids that you take interest in their education while sending a positive message that you consider school a worthwhile cause. If you have something to offer or just want to help out in whatever way you can, talk about it with teachers. They might arrange something with you personally or you may speak with Ms. Montenegro, our Engagement and Support Coordinator, who can direct you to an opportunity right for you!

Here are some way you can volunteer:

-act as a classroom helper

-mentor or tutor students

-help organize, cater, or work at fundraising activities

-lunchroom or recess monitor

-help chaperone school events (graduation ceremonies, dances, assemblies, etc.)

-Library assistant or help with story time.

-Help with after school clubs

-volunteer to speak in classrooms for Career Day.

Home Visits

Why do we conduct home visits?

The purpose of this program is to build relationships between the school and the home informing parents of student specific classroom information, as well as various HPS programs and school events that are available. Take the opportunity to get to know your teachers outside of school! If you would like to put in a request for a home visit, please contact your students' teachers or our campus Engagement and Support Coordinator for more information!
