Creating LGBTQ+ Inclusive Schools: Advanced Conversations for Educators: This workshop combines the savvy ally toolkit of LGBTQ+ educator, Jeannie Gainsburg, with your skills, experiences, and knowledge as teachers and school staff to develop practical and effective ways to create a more LGBTQ+ school. This nuanced conversation will include discussions on combating conscious and unconscious gender bias, navigating tricky LGBTQ+-related situations, professionally handling common areas of push back, and strategizing ways to effectively share our knowledge with others. Come prepared to share, discuss, and problem-solve to create real cultural change at your school. Participation in the “LGBTQ+ Terminology and Etiquette” workshop prior to this session is highly recommended.
