iRun4Life Sign Up Extended
The iRun4Life sign up deadline has been extended to Wednesday, April 8. This afterschool program begins Wednesdsay, April 15. We meet 8 consecutive Wednesdays until 4:30pm (April 15-June 3). The cost of $20 per child covers a tshirt, snacks, and incentives.
Parent volunteers are welcome, but not required.
If you would like your child to participate in this program, please sign up online at irun4life.net. You can begin the sign up process by clicking on "parent signup". You will then be prompted to "add a child". A check for $20 made payable to "Gayman Home & School" should be sent to the office.
Ripple Round-Up
The Home & School Ripple Round-Up is right around the corner! From now until May 1st you can pre-order your carnival wristbands for $15.00 a piece - a $5 dollar savings per band!!

Earth Day Project
Please join the Kids Care Club and our resident gardener, fourth grade's Mr. Grace, to explore how fruits and veggies grow in the earth and to plant seeds to take home.
When: Thursday, April 23rd
Where: Library and outside in the butterfly garden
Time: Immediately after school until 5:00 PM
In honor of Earth Day the Kids Care Club will be collecting food for families and especially children in need right here in Bucks County. Please bring in your favorite non-perishable food and place in the donation box outside of the office. Donations will be accepted until April 23rd.

Gayman's 2nd Grade Brownie Troop Helping Kids
Gayman's 2nd Grade Brownie Troop is collecting donated items for the Bucks County Division of Children and Youth to help more than 400 local kids in Foster Care and another 1,500 in support of services. Starting Tuesday, April 7th through Monday, April 13th items can be dropped off outside the office.

Larry Song Won 2nd Place in Regional Spelling Bee Contest
Larry Song, a 5th grader in Mrs. Ardito's class, won second place in the regional Spelling Bee contest! There were 54 school champions from Middle and Elementary schools in both Bucks County and Montgomery county attending the regional competition.
In the last few rounds, Larry was the only elementary school student left competing against middle school students. Eventually, Larry won second place, while a middle schooler won first place. Great job Larry, we are all very proud of your accomplishment!!!
April Boomerang Award
This year, Gayman will continue to accept nominations for the Boomerang Award, which is our way of honoring students who best demonstrate their own developmental assets. What are Developmental Assets? Students possessing a combination of “40 Assets” are typically most successful in school and in life. These assets have the power to influence choices young people make and help them become caring, responsible adults. April #28. Reading for Pleasure. Young person reads for pleasure most days of the week, either alone, with family members, or with friends. Boomerang nominations may be emailed to Suzanne Vass at svass@cbsd.org, or printed out and sent into the office.
