Using Canva in your Classroom 10am - 12pm
Canva is a powerful and fun design tool that is free for all CMSD teachers and students. This workshop will help educators new to Canva learn the basics and allow folks who are already experts time to share their favorite projects.
Space is limited- you must register through powerschool.
Fab Project Planning 1-4pm
This session is for teachers who are already using digital fabrication in their classrooms.
Please come share student work and lesson ideas, collaborate on new ideas and explore what is possible in the Fab Lab
Open Lab Time
Open lab time is like office hours for the Fab Lab. You can drop by to pick up consumable materials, ask for help on a software, work together with your peers on a project idea, use a machine you've already been trained on, or just hang out!

Student Made Vases for New CMSD Restaurant Students in the digital arts program at East Tech designed these vases to be used as the centerpieces for the New CMSD Restaurant Opening next month! | Custom T Shirts with a Silhouette Cameo Middle school students at Tremont Montessori are designing and fabricating their own tshirts. Happy Holidays! | Kindergarten City brought to Life! Students at Halle were able to see their city come to life with use of a Glowforge Laser. The students learned about city design before deciding what each city needs. After the buildings were fabricated they get to work on the layout and create a map as well. |

SkillsUSA! Engineering students at East Tech traveled to Columbus for the Fall Leadership Student conference. | Mathematical Transformations and 3D Printing This student used tinkercad rotation to represent mathematical rigid transformations. The printed version came out great! | Special Teddy Bears Principals from K-8 Network 1 were able to take home a teddy bear from this month's meeting with a custom made tshirt! Principals first filled the teddy bear with a heart representing a special student before sewing them back up. |
