National Child ID Program

School districts across Texas are assisting TEA with the distribution of the National Child ID Program kits to all students in grades K-8. Our district will be distributing an in-home child identification kit to each K-8 student on behalf of the State of Texas.

There is a no obligation to fill out the kit, but it will allow you to have a set of fingerprints and DNA for your child in case of an emergency that you can turn over to law enforcement. These kits are to be STORED AT HOME and only to be given to law enforcement in case of an emergency.

We encourage families to make use of this gift, fill it out and store it in a safe place at home.

ESSER 6-Month Review Survey

Under the Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) Funds, schools are required to review their Return to In-Person Instruction and Continuity of Services Plan each six months with stakeholder input. We are asking our staff, students, and parents to participate in a short ESSER Survey to get feedback on our “Return to In-Person Instruction and Continuity of

Services Plan”. Responses to this survey are due by 5:00 pm on Wednesday, October 12,

Attendance is Important!

Good attendance is important for both students and schools. Students receives the maximum educational benefit by being in school every day. Studies show a strong link between academic performance and consistent daily attendance. In addition, public schools receive state funding based on daily attendance, which is essential to providing high quality instruction, support services, and extracurricular programs.
