Halloween costume reminders
Students can dress up for Halloween at school this year. Elementary students can wear costumes after lunch; middle school students can dress up all day on Friday, October 29th. Student costumes should be non-violent. No students should bring a pretend weapon to school.
Even if your child’s costume has a mask, they will still need to wear their COVID-19 mask in school.
Costumes should be brought in a bag and students can change before the parade begins. There is not time for make-up or hairspray. If possible, costumes should fit over a student’s clothes.
Free app can help families track bus travel
Many CCSD 89 families will now be able to track their student’s trips to and from school through a free busing app. Parents can download the FirstView app, which will give them access to real-time information about their student’s bus travel. (This app is not available for Hopewell special-education transportation, early or late buses, or field trips.) There is more information about the FirstView app, including download instructions, at www.ccsd89.org/busapp
