Give the gift of a book to the FHS Library
Dear parents of the Class of 2019,
Would you like to honor a graduating senior or show your gratitude to an FHS staff member who helped your child to succeed? Give the gift of a book to the FHS Library in their name!
Order from the FHS Library wishlist on Amazon, have it sent directly to the Library. In the gift notes, please indicate who you'd like to dedicate the book to, and from whom. The FHS Librarians will place a bookplate with the honoree's name inside the book's front cover and add it to our collection. They'll notify the student or staff member that a book has been given in their name.
Thanks for considering this pay-it-forward way to show your gratitude and pride in the Class of 2019!
Best,
Ms. Courchesne & Mrs. Redbord
Flyer News wins 2019 Boston/New England Student Awards for Excellence in the Newscast category
The Boston/New England Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the winners in this year's 2019 Boston/New England Student Awards for Excellence and Framingham's student-produced Flyer News was the winner in the Newscast category.
The Boston/New England Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences present awards of excellence to recognize outstanding student achievements in production. The presentation of these awards is intended to be an incentive for the continued pursuit of excellence by those studying media and journalism and to focus public attention on outstanding cultural, educational, technological, entertainment, news and informational achievements by undergraduate college and/or high school students.
Flyer News is one of the few live-broadcast student-run television productions in the region. It airs 160 days per school year and provides a source of news, information and entertainment for the entire Framingham community.
Congratulations to Television Production Teacher Tim Daoust, Student Producer Sabrina Casey, and the cast and crew of Flyer News.

Teachers and Administrators To Celebrate #FPSPrideDay!
Beyond the Black and White
Beyond the Black and White is a district-wide project that aims to highlight the diverse accomplishments of Framingham Schools’ students through exhibitions of and about student work. Through a weekly distribution featuring different articles, we plan to showcase the incredible variety of talent, passion, and stories that make Framingham unique. Though the content will be moving and inspiring, our name reminds readers of the hope that they will look beyond the black and white words on the page and appreciate the people, named or unnamed, behind each piece.
We hope to celebrate not only students who are often appreciated for their academic or extracurricular achievement, but those with a wide range of different abilities, particularly students who have not been recognized. After all, diversity is a foundation for Framingham Schools!
For each submission, please include the student’s full name, current grade, and which Framingham schools the student attended. Additionally, if a photograph of the student is being submitted, please make sure the student consents to having their photo published. Submissions are only accepted from FPS email addresses (@framingham.k12.ma.us or @fpsed.org).
