gas laws
charles's law- as the temperature of a gas increases so does the volume.
dalton's law- in a mixture of two non-reaction gases, the total pressure exerted is equal to the sum of the partial pressures of the individual gases
gay-lussac's law-The first law relates to volume before and after a chemical reaction, the second concerns the pressure and temperature relationship of a sample of gas
henry's law- At a constant temperature, the amount of a give gas that dissolves in a give type and volume of liquid is directly proportional to the partial pressure of the gas.
the bends, air embolisms, and oxygen toxicity
how you get the condition- when dissolving gases coming out into bubbles inside the body.
the dangers of the condition- joint pain, rashes, paralysis, and death.
the side effects of the condition.- joint pain, rashes, paralysis, and death.
how to treat the condition- Is treated in a hyperbaric oxygen therapy, recompression chamber.
which gas laws are involved and how they apply- boyles law because when you descend the pressure increaces and can cause air bubbles to enter the blood stream.

Air embolisms
how you get the condition- when one or more air bubble enters the vein or artery and block it.
the dangers of the condition- can cause a heart attack or stroke.
the side effects of the condition- heart attack or stroke.
how to treat the condition- sit up straight to keep the air from going to your heart, brain, or lungs. Then take medications like Adrenalin.
what gas law is involved and how- henrys law the futher divers go down then the pressure will increase and so that means the the volume will decrease because the air in the divers lungs is highly compressible and the higher pressure will compress the lungs.

Oxygen toxicity
how you get the condition- breathing in molecular oxygen at increased partial pressures.
the dangers of the conditions- death
the side effects of the condition- disorientation, hyperoxia, seizures, breathing problems and vision problems.
how to treat the condition-
what gas law is involved and how- daltons law when people desend that the partial pressure of all the gases increase as much as the pressure does then this creates pO2 that causes O2 toxicity.
