Weekly Updates April 19, 2021 Issue 29
Principal's Message
The students did very well with the Interim Assessments this past week.
This has prepared us well in advance to interface successfully with the WVGSA (West Virginia Summative Assessment).
These data that we receive from the state testing and our bench-marking assessments will be most valuable as we plan our instructional delivery for this coming school year of 2021-2022.
We will be utilizing a program called iReady for bench-marking in English Language Arts and Math. These assessments will be given this Wednesday, April 21, and Thursday, April 22, 2021 in the morning.
As our teachers work hard to deliver both In Person and Distance learning, I ask that all students come prepared to engage in the learning environment. Charge those Chromebooks every night, complete all of your assignments, and participate in class. In addition, I ask that all CELL PHONES ARE TURNED OFF AND PUT AWAY DURING THE INSTRUCTIONAL DAY.
FRIDAY, APRIL 23, 2021: TWO HOUR EARLY DISMISSAL FOR STUDENTS. Two Hour Early Dismissal schedule is posted under News and Announcements on our website.
Remember to always treat others with respect and kindness. Stay positive, demonstrate tolerance and always do your personal best.
Wishing you all a wonderful and productive week!
Kindest regards,
Principal Hicks
