Principal's Message

Welcome Fall!

It is hard to believe we are starting into the month of October. Time for cozy sweaters, hot cider or chocolate, pumpkin treats and all things comfort! We have experienced a great start to this new school year. Our students have settled in and are doing great things!

Our commitment to fostering resilience, perseverance, empathy, and the ability to communicate effectively in diverse learning partnerships will undoubtedly help our students continue to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.

We are continuing with our Social-Emotional program focus. Lessons will occur every Monday and Friday within homeroom and will be reinforced daily throughout the school environment. The focus for the second six weeks of school is Problem Solving. The goal is for our students to develop the self-confidence in their ability to solve problems in a healthy and productive way.

Also, new this year, is dedicated time for Career Exploration. Every Wednesday in homeroom, our students will learn about a different career. In some cases, they will hear from someone in the community that represents the specific career we are researching.

Wishing you all a wonderful and productive month of October!

Kindest regards,

Principal Hicks

CLUB DAY

We will begin our Club Day this month during school hours. Students will be choosing their club sometime this week. This is a great way for our students to explore interests and enrich skill sets already beginning to emerge.
