Scholarships are not just for seniors!
Did you know there are two programs that can get you started earning scholarships before your senior year? The first is raise.me. The way it works is you create an account, and enter information about yourself. You earn scholarships that are tied to specific schools based on good grades and positive habits such as club and community service involvement. Register for an account using this link and find out more by watching this video:
Senior Reminders
- Set up admissions portals with all colleges that you have applied. This is how they will communicate important decisions as well as notify you if you are missing anything. You will also use the portal to submit admissions and housing deposits.
- Were you deferred to a college? Read this article for what to do next.
- Also, read this for how to write a letter of continued interest.
- Finally, read this article to better understand the waitlist.
- If you have not yet completed your FAFSA or CSS Profile (only required for certain universities), please do so ASAP. See Dr. Schaeffer for help.
- Apply for scholarships. Many scholarships are college specific so check with individual institutions and check out our database on Naviance.
- Keep those grades up! Colleges can rescind offers of admission. Also, I will automatically send your mid-year grades. You do not have to request this.
- If you will be interviewing with any college or scholarship program, please see Dr. Schaeffer for assistance preparing.
