Congratulations to Mrs. Cindy Owens on Being Selected as Gaston County Schools Band Director of the Year
I am honored to congratulate Mrs. Cindy Owens on being selected as the Gaston County Schools Band Director of the Year. Mrs. Owens clearly deserves this honor due to her hard work and dedication to our students. She is also a major, positive influence on many band programs at several other schools in the county. She continues to have a lasting impact on the culture at WCFMS and in Gaston County Schools. I want to personally thank Mr. Owens for all that she has done to shine a positive light on WCFMS and Gaston County Schools.

Smart Watches
We are having some issues with smart watches. Students are abusing the privilege of having them. They are using the watches to take pictures and send messages during the day. Some of those pictures and messages have caused some issues. Please help us by telling your student to use the watch properly, if they have one. I have asked them to do the same thing telling them that if they cannot use them properly I will have no choice but to ban them. Thank you for your help.

No Unpackaged Snacks! We are no longer allowing unpackaged snacks, specifically candy or sweet treats, to be brought into the school. If students want to bring candy like Gummy Bears, or cookies like Oreos, into the school, they need to be pre-packaged. This move has been made in order to keep our students safe. We have had some unwanted items come into our school via food items, specifically sweet. If these types of snacks are found they will be thrown away. | No Phones During the Day!
