Cavalier Community Corner

Parent & Community Update May 16-20, 2022

Dear Families, Friends, and Community,

Hello, Cavaliers!

This week starts our testing, and our students are ready! We had a great week preparing for our tests with our very successful EOG Spirit Week. Thank you to all who donated items for our students. We could not have had the week we did have without the support from our community and parents.

Now, as we look at our first test this week, encourage your student to prepare to do their best on this first real measurement of the year.

Here's to great things that are to come this spring at W.C. Friday Middle School.

Have a great week!

Nicole Carter, Classified Employee of the Month- April/May

W.C. Friday Middle School wants to say congratulations to Mrs. Nicole Carter for being selected as the Classified Employee of the Month for April and May. Mrs. Carter was chosen by her colleagues for this award. She was given a Friday Pride F, Cavalier Insulated Tumbler, compliments of Community First Bank, and cupcakes from Sweet Anna's Bakery in Dallas.

Here are some of the things her colleagues had to say about her:

She helps each and every one of us. Nicole has a heart for students that have any type of need. She keeps our front office and lobby decorated with the seasons and in an inviting manner. She tries to encourage everyone to be a part of any type of fellowship the school has.

Everything runs well in the office because of her organization.

Mrs. Carter always places the needs of the school first. She has even been working while not feeling well refusing to take time off so she does not let her team down!

Congratulations, Mrs. Carter!

Clarissa Roseboro, Certified Employee of the Month for April/May

W.C. Friday Middle School wants to say congratulations to Ms. Clarissa Roseboro for being selected as the Certified Employee of the Month for April and May. Ms. Roseboro was chosen by her colleagues for this award. She was given a Friday Pride F, Cavalier Insulated Tumbler, compliments of Community First Bank, and cupcakes from Sweet Anna's Bakery in Dallas.

Here are some of the things her colleagues said about her:

She is consistent with her attendance, she has a heart for the students, she has been able to make connections with the students that she works with and there is effective with them when helping them with their assignments. She is also a team player and she will help out wherever she is needed.

She comes to class everyday with a smile on. She greets students, individually as she enters and goes out of her way to help them be successful. Even if they are not one of "her" students. I appreciate her support in my class!

Mrs. Roseboro steps up to help when needed & is always a positive ray of sunshine!

She is a bright light EVERY. SINGLE. DAY. My colleagues and I have talked about the positive addition she is to our staff. She feels like home :-) She serves her students with compassion, grace, and high expectations. She expects them to believe in their potential and to work hard to achieve! True love for students AND high expectations for students is a powerful combination.

Congratulations. Mrs. Roseboro!
