UMAC News 2.27

Check out our NEW Newsletter!
Next week, our new friends will begin PARCC testing. On Monday and Wednesday, our team will have lunch from 11:30-12:20 p.m. and testing will begin promptly at 12:25 p.m. I will be taking our new friends to the lab for the test. We would encourage our students to bring a snack for an afternoon break after our tests. This will be a nice opportunity for our whole team to come together and celebrate our efforts throughout testing. If possible, please remember to avoid any appointments during this time. We know that our UMAC learners are going to ROCK!!
As a reminder, we will not be having WEB moms during the month of March and the first week of April. We will resume our WEB schedule the week of April 6. Thanks so much!!
Have a great weekend,
Michelle Barrett & Abby Wiley
Dr. Les stops by for a book talk!
She is sharing many of her favorites.

Note from Mrs. Marks...
As a reminder, PARCC summative assessments are designed to measure overall curriculum and program effectiveness in the areas of English language arts and math and are standardized to allow comparison across student groups. The PARCC summative assessments consist of two required components: a Performance-Based Assessment (PBA) that will be given in March and into early April and an End-of-Year assessment (EOY) that will be given in late April and during the month of May. The PBA component of PARCC requires that students demonstrate their knowledge and skills through extended tasks. The End-of-Year assessment (EOY) assessment is composed of shorter, machine-scored questions that will be assessed from April 27- May 22.
