Segregation Ends In Baseball!
On April 15,1947 Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier in major league baseball. The first team that let him play on their team was the Brooklyn Dodgers, and for manager Branch Ricky. In the first game he played as a Brooklyn Dodger they beat the Boston Braves 5-3. That game showed Americans that African are equal to them in sports, and many other things too.
How Did He Get To Be As Good As He Was?
First of all, Jackie had to practice a lot. Also, he was a very determined person. he was determined to be the best he could be. But one of the most important things that he did was to ignore the racists that kept telling him that he couldn't do it and that he was horrible. Doing all those things would ensure that Jackie would get success. So he did those things and that why he was a success.
