School District Finance Report
Missouri State Budget Shortfalls
The economic hardships brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic have caused dramatic revenue shortfall for the state of Missouri. On June 1, 2020, Governor Mike Parson announced a total of $131.3 million in restrictions for the Department of Elementary & Secondary Education for June 2020. There will be no transportation payment made to the school district in June, along with districts receiving about 13% less transportation funding than was appropriated for 2020. The MVR-III School District is facing budget shortfalls due to the state of Missouri withholdings.
