Monday Memo
Sept. 16, 2019~~~ A Newsletter for Teachers and Staff
Week 6:
"SUCCESS IS NO ACCIDENT. IT IS HARD WORK, PERSERVERANCE, LEARNING, STUDYING, SACRIFICE, AND MOST OF ALL, LOVE OF WHAT YOU ARE DOING OR LEARNING TO DO." Pele
Greetings Central Elementary Colleagues!
Our roof is not complete, but we are celebrating that this is the first full week that we can say all our teachers are back in their classrooms! YAY Mrs. Delprete!
Welcome back Mrs. Sarah Kayda! We are so excited that you are returning and we wish you all the very best with your new, precious, little one! She's a future panther and we think she is adorable!
When I read the quote above, it made me reflect on our work as educators. Good teachers are not made by accident, great teachers are not made by accident. It comes from hard work, perseverance and small steps as you develop and refine your pedagogy. Teaching is an art and it is our hope to create a masterpiece. We are continually learning and improving so that we can be excellent! Keep moving us forward Panthers!
Thank you for taking time last week on the half day to recognize (through PBIS) the students who deserved recognition!
I look forward to seeing you in my walk-throughs and at PLCs this week. Don't forget to bring your laptops so that we can work on DPPs.
Also, in regards to lesson plans, Teachers please make sure you have all your plans in the saved team drive. Team Leaders please speak to your team about having all 6 weeks of lesson plans in their folder. Many have not uploaded their plans on the shared drive. Check to make sure they know how. If something should not be in the folder they can rename it "Delete" and I will delete it for them.
Collaborative Planning notes should also be in the shared drive. All you need is just a list of who is there, date, time and a brief description of what you planned together. These should be in your grade level folder on the shared team drive. Many of you have them and just need to upload them. See me if you have questions and a BIG Thanks to the grade levels who have this all taken care of.
