Harvest Dance Fun

We had a fantastic turn out for our PTO sponsored Harvest Dance and Costume Party. These events require the efforts of many people to make them successful. With that said, many thanks to PTO parents- Laura Robinson, Becky Lanoue, Becky Tower Hughes, Julie Hall, Sarah Smith, and Melinda Jack. Thank you to teachers Mrs. Goldthwaite, Mrs. Winters, Mrs. Heuer, and Mrs. Coleman for your presence and support. Special thanks are also due to our student council members and their families (for baking!) and to their advisors Mrs. Robertson and Ms. Franck for organizing a bake sale, costume judging contest, and a rousing large group game of musical chairs. Please enjoy a short video of more pictures from this super fun night!

Some of our costume prize winners are pictured to the right: Joey as a Ghost Buster with an amazing costume.

More prize winners- pictured below from left to right: Ariana, the LeBlanc family as gnomes, Aiden and his Mom Melinda as Mario characters.

Wonder Words! The Importance of Teaching Vocabulary

The focus of our Wonder Words bulletin board for this week is the root word "phone," which means something to do with sound. Some examples are telephone, homophone, microphone, megaphone, and headphones. Teaching children to understand the role of root words in our language is another way to help them use a strategy for approaching unfamiliar words. Special thanks to our speech and language pathologists, Jasmine Ribeiro and Jen LaRoche for developing this bulletin board. To learn more about speech & language development please visit their PSS speech and language website page

Preschool Where Learning is Always Fun

Catch of the Day!

Our School Support Noon Duty staff have a recognition program, "Catch of the Day," for students they observe demonstrating our school expectations of respect for self, respect for others, and respect for property during recess. Each day they choose one student from recess as the Catch of the Day. The student receives a certificate, a stuffed fish for a day, and is entered into a weekly drawing in the "fish bowl" to receive a prize. Pictured to the right is our prize winning "Catch of the Day" Brent.
