If you were to take the Ecstasy pill orally, it takes about 20 minutes to a half an hour to kick in. At about an hour and a half, the Ecstasy is at its peak and at full effect. It takes approximately 24 hours for all of the effects of Ecstasy to wear off.

It takes about 1.5-1.8 mg of MDMA to overdose. Overdosing can cause long term severe damage to the brain.
