Proclamation of 1763
The Proclamation of 1763 was when the king of England made a document claiming that the colonist couldn't settle on the Ohio River Valley. He made this law so he wouldn't have another war to pay for. This made the colonist mad, since they couldn't claim the land the fought for.
Stamp Act of 1767
During this act, in 1765 they passed a parliament that claimed that when the colonist bought stamps or seals they had to pay taxes. Those who din't pay taxes were fined or sent to jail. This wasn't really fair to the colonist fro them to pay taxes for stamps.
The Townshend Act of 1767
This was an act that was passed by the British Parliament. They passed an act called the Townshend act, the main reason for this act was to gain money. The did this by taxing them for glass, lead, paint, paper, and tea. It also gave tax collectors permission to search for any smuggled goods. This kinda made the colonist against the fact that now they have to pay taxes not only for stamps, but for other popular goods. Since some were against this act, the formed a group called the Son's of Liberty. They were rebels would would go against acts.
The Boston Massacre of 1770
In March 5th, 1770. The colonist started to go against the Red Coasts/ British soldiers. They would tease them with hateful language that would aggravate the soldiers. After one of the colonist hit one of the soldiers with a club. This started a fight with the colonist against the British soldiers. After one soldier accidentlly shoot one of the colonist it made the British look bad. This made the colonist that it's their fault for causing many deaths even if it was the colonist would did it first.
The Tea Act of 1773
In 1773 the Tea Act was passed by the the parliament, this act was pasted to sell the colonist tea. The East India company sold this tea for a really good price that many colonist found suitable. This effected the colonist who were smugglers worry that the company selling good-priced- tea may run them out of business. Thanks to their good and non-expensive prices.
The Boston Tea Party, 1773
In 1773 the Boston Tea Party all started when the king made a new act. The act said or concluded that all colonist should buy only one brand of tea, plus pay additional taxes too. This effected the Boston colony more than the other colonies, of course they were upset but not as much as the Boston colonist. This cause the colony's colonist to throw the barrels of the tea into the harbor, causing the England king to band all known trade with Boston.
The Intolerable Acts of 1774
This event happened after the Boston Tea Party had occurred. During this time the British were starting to series of laws. The colonist called this the series of punitive laws. When the British were passing these laws they weren't doing this to anger the colonist, they were doing this to punish the Massachusetts for also helping with throwing tea into the harbor during the Boston Tea Party. This effected the colonist by upsetting for them to also be punished for rebelling against the act of buying one brand of tea.
Lexington and Concord 1775
In 17775, Britain was planning a secret plan to take over Boston, and also capture colony leaders Sam Adams and John Handcock. But thanks to the colonist who're close to the other colonist and American spies they were warned before anything could be taken place. During that day Paul Revere, Williams Dawes, and Samuel Prescott rode on horses, going to the other colonies saying "THE BRITISH ARE COMING"!!! This effected the colonist by making them well aware of what's to come from the British soldiers. It was the first battle of the Revolution.
