We Are Together Tamanend!

Our January Link to Unity (L2U) saw 35 seventh and eighth graders come together to develop their leadership capacity through understanding, point of view, team work, cooperation and kindness. Lead by over 20 South Link students (formerly from Tamanend) and eight Tamanend Junior Leaders, students enjoyed a morning of fun games and challenges while learning more about themselves and each other. While all of this was going on at Tamanend, the same was happening at Unami. The hope is that our student leaders already have a sense of belonging and leadership purpose when they arrive at South as tenth graders. 9th Grade Honors Course Offerings 2017-18

For the 2017-18 school year, the Central Bucks School District is pleased to inform our rising 9th grade students (current 8th graders in 2016-17) and their families, that weighted honors courses in English, mathematics, science and social studies will be part of course offerings in 9th grade. These courses will be weighted by .25. Please refer to page 3 of the Grades 9-12 Program of Studies Guide for more information regarding weighting. Additionally, please refer to page 9 of the same Program of Studies Guide in order to read a description about these course offerings.

Future Ready Surveys

Central Bucks School District is beginning a comprehensive analysis of how we use technology in our classrooms, as part of an exciting nationwide initiative called Future Ready, and we need your input. For more information, click here for a message from Superintendent John Kopicki.

Gym Uniforms and Locks

All students must wear a CB (or old TMS) gym uniform for their Physical Education classes. Uniforms and locks are available for purchase online through our My Payments Plus program. The cost of uniform items and locks for the 2016-2017 school year are as follows:

  • T-shirt = $2.30
  • Shorts = $4.00
  • Lock = $5.40

You will receive an email with directions on how to purchase these items. If for some reason you are not able to purchase them online, you can write a check made payable to Central Bucks School District for $11.70. Please include your student's name on the memo line. These will be collected in gym class on the first day of the second semester that your student has gym.

TMS Café Accounts

To put money into your son or daughter's cafeteria account, click here. It is also possible to set up an auto-reminder when the balance reaches a minimum threshold that you set, and/or create an auto-reload plan so that your student always has a positive balance in his/her account.

Volunteer Required Paperwork

Now that it is January and some spring class trips are around the corner, we wanted to remind you that Pennsylvania law requires all persons having direct contact with school children must obtain background checks and clearances. If you are planning on volunteering, you will need to go to Volunteer Required Paperwork, complete what is needed to obtain your Photo Volunteer ID Card. You will need that and another piece of photo ID to enter a CB school.

After signing up, the school needs to verify that all volunteer clearances are on file. Parents/guardians will be notified by the school if they are cleared and needed to chaperone. On the day of the volunteer event, you must show the card given to you by CBSD indicating that you have all clearances on file. Thank you.

Throughout the year, Tamanend staff members look for examples of students showing Respect, Achievement, and Responsibility... R.oA.R. Those students are given "Tiger Tracks" tickets which students can enter into a drawing. Each Friday, Mr. Boyle draws one student's Tiger Track and announces the winner on our Tamanend Today Show. The winner can pick from a number of prizes including great coupons from Subway, Rita's, Randazzo's, Yogurt Tree, and Moe's!

The following students were recent weekly winners!
