ZHS Parent & Family Engagement Plan
2021-2022 School Year
Zephyrhills High School is the home of the Bulldogs!
Our vision is that all of our students achieve success in college, career, and life.
Our theme for the 2021-2022 school year is Building Excellence!
2021-2022 School Year
At Zephyrhills High School, we will:
2. Develop a school-home compact agreement that outlines how parents, students, and school staff will share responsibility in improving student achievement and describes various ways communication will occur. This compact is found on the ZHS website under School Information > Title 1 information > Compact. Parents and students can review the compact together and submit the form electronically.
**All parents and guardians are encouraged to give their feedback regarding the Parent/Family Engagement Plan and School Compact by contacting Mrs. Simons (asimons@pasco.k12.fl.us) or by attending SAC meetings, or attending parent nights.
Title 1 Annual Parent Meeting
Where: ZHS New Dining Room
Why: To explain the Title 1 program, your rights, and how parents can be involved. You will be able to review the Title 1 budget expenditures and ask questions.
Out of Field Notification 21-22
Parents will be notified if a teacher does not meet the requirements or certifications of the course(s) they teach. Notices will be sent home via mail, newsletter, on the ZHS website, and will be updated throughout the year.
At Zephyrhills High School, we will:
**Teen parents can participate in the Cyesis program, which allows teen parents to stay in school to complete their education while bringing their babies (up to 4 years old) with them each day.
**ABC (Assist, Believe, Care) funds are used to ensure family needs are supported. Our social worker and Social Services Coordinator perform home visits and student/family follow up when needed.
4. Use a portion of Title 1 funds to support parent and family engagement, and involve parents in deciding how these funds are used.
**GETTING AHEAD PARENT WORKSHOPS:
- Connect with community partners & learn about building personal & family resources to help your family get ahead.
- Develop your own plan for bridges and other tools to build financial and social stability.
Our school’s vision for engaging families: To provide relevant Parent Information Nights throughout the school year, so that students & families can stay informed and have access to the necessary resources available at our school and the community, to be college, career, and life ready.
How to Stay Informed about what is happening at ZHS:
