3 Ways to End the Year Digitally...
Voki Spokesperson
Have students create a Voki that will greet next year's students with messages to uplift them. "This school is great because....." "Mrs. Smith's Science class is cool because she has a great unit on gravity..." "Just wait until you start learning about algebraic equations. Pay attention now!" "The number 1 advice for 8th grade is.... The number 1 advice for making Mrs. Smith happy is....." Voikis can be saved and ready to greet your next class next year. Its also a great time to get some data from your students to see how you (yes you!) can improve your classroom. You know the kids will be honest;)
A Year in Review - Animoto, iMovie, WeVideo.com
I love visual literacy.... Have students take pictures around the school or classroom that set the tone for a school year at your school. It can showcase clubs, sports, academics, a classroom, a media or technology program.
Movie or Trailer (iMovie, WeVideo (any computer)
Create a movie of the grade level for prospective students. Walk around the school sharing what goes on in the gym, the Media Center, near the lockers, and office. It should be positive video that showcases the great and unique environment at your school. Share with your principal to score some brownie points!

Videos for all...
Its an app, its a site.... It's VIDEOLICIOUS!! This simple app and Website make video creations easy whether you are using a chromebook, iPad, Macbook, or a PC. I have enjoyed video productions for years, but I am amazed at how simply this app/website can turn out a polished video combining narration, music and images or clips. It's actually for the iPhone, but it seems to work great on the iPad. Possible Classroom Ideas:
- Commercials for your classroom projects or the start of the school year.
- Project highlights from students after they complete their work.
- News stories for video announcements.
- Any type of digital storytelling.
