Sacramento PRAYS

Uniting people to pray in the Greater Sacramento Region.

“There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all.” - Ephesians 4:4-6

Prayer Elevates During Prayer Fair At Leading In These Times

On October 17, worship, community prayer, prayer for schools, prayer for children, healing prayer, prayer station, prayer art (prophetic art), combined with food and fellowship for an intimate time of sharing, discussing and hands-on experience! The goal was to help leaders explore new facets of prayer in a welcoming environment. The result was a very open time of considering the lavishness of God in how He enjoys us, enjoys partnering with us, and enjoys working through us. The blessings were evident as 10-minute round tables lasted 45 minutes, and some were far from ready to leave at the closing time, staying at least an hour later than planned! This was an explorative adventure on our own part, seeking how God desired to work through an event such as this. Look for a possible spring prayer fair on a larger scale!

Gary DeGennaro: Praying for the Next Generation

In our break out group on praying for the next generation, we had about a dozen people at the table from early twenties to grandparents. We discussed many things including, but not limited to: the power of a praying parent, prayer walks at schools and our neighborhoods, Moms in Prayer, for God to move on the hearts of parents to intercede for their kids, Intercessor workshops and much more. Pastor Matthew Coleman gave his testimony about how he had come home at 5am one morning while living a godless life and found his dad on his knees praying for him. It changed his life, and now he is a pastor at Destiny Church with a heart for the inner city youth. Two of our young people were truly engaged and encouraged and one lady with a troubled son said this time had changed her life and prayer life. Our goal was to get everyone in attendance to walk away committed to at least one new idea or thing that they would do for the next year. Those who wanted to, shared and people were totally engaged. Let’s continue to share our hearts and what we believe is God’s good future for the youth of our city.
