Veteran's Day
WE NEED YOUR PHOTOS!
We will be honoring our military families with a slideshow this year. Please send photos of any active military or veteran family members (alive or deceased) from our PRE community to Robin Stephens (rjstephens@gmail.com) by November 1 to be included in this special honorary tribute.
CANDY DONATIONS FOR TROOPS!
Don't know what to do with all that leftover Halloween candy? We are holding our annual candy collection for the USO November 1 - November 9. The USO distributes candy to military service persons and their families during the holiday season. There will be boxes available in the school lobby for you to drop off your donations. Also, you are welcome to encourage your children to write letters/make cards or draw pictures to be given to the troops along with the candy donation. Thank you for your support!
Books & Beyond
Kindergarten and 1st grade parents
We are so close to finishing up our first month of tracking books read with Books and Beyond. Make sure to have your children submit all their sheets to count for October by the morning of Wednesday, November 1.
Make copies, print copies and have the tracking sheets ready, as we move into November! You can find more at: www.pennyroadpta.com; under the PTA info tab.
We hope your readers are setting goals and enjoying their reading journey! Should you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to andreafinucane@yahoo.com.
New PRE long-sleeved shirts!
