A $500 scholarship is available for seniors, however the deadline to apply is October 5, 2020!
Students must submit an essay of between 500 and 1000 words in answer to the following question:
When you look back on your life in 30 years, what would it take for you to consider your life successful? What relationships or accomplishments will be important on this journey?

Pennsylvania American Legion - 2021 High School Oratorical Scholarship Program
- Please stop by the counseling center for a paper flyer with details. This is "A Constitutional Speech Contest".

Jackie Robinson Foundation
The JRF Scholarship program addresses the financial needs of college students and provides extensive, hands-on mentoring and support services. Once chosen from a national, selective application process, JRF Scholars receive a generous four-year grant to attend the undergraduate school of their choice and enroll in JRF's celebrated "42 Strategies for Success Curriculum." This four-year program guides JRF Scholars to effectively navigate their college environments, explore career options, develop leadership skills, and embrace a commitment to service. The program also promotes the values and character traits embodied in the heroic life of Jackie Robinson, encouraging JRF Scholars to positively impact the lives of others.

The Merit Shop Training and Research Center Scholarships
The Merit Shop Training and Research Center was established several years ago, by Associated Builders & Contractors, Keystone Chapter (ABC Keystone) as a non-profit fund whose mission is to provide financial assistance to students who have chosen construction-related career paths. The Center is funded by members of the Chapter, who have taken upon themselves the responsibility of being proactive in assisting men and women in their preparation for this industry.

The National Wild Turkey Federation's Dr. James Earl Kennamer Scholarship Program Sponsored by Mossy Oak

The purpose of the NWTF Dr. James Earl Kennamer Academic Scholarship Program is to recognize and reward an NWTF member, who is currently a senior in high school, for their outstanding academic achievement, community involvement and leadership roles. Zonta Club - Young Women in Public Affairs Award
The goal of the Zonta International Young Women in Public Affairs (YWPA) Award Program is to encourage young women to participate in public affairs by recognizing the candidate’s commitment to the volunteer sector, evidence of volunteer leadership achievements and a dedication to empowering women worldwide through service and advocacy.
- Eligibility: Pre-college/university women, aged 16-19 at time of application
- The Award: Local club winner receives $1,000; District winner receives $1,000; and ten International recipients are selected from the District winners to receive awards of $4,000 each.
- How to Apply? Complete an official application, following all instructions very carefully. Be sure to answer all parts of all the questions, noting the number of words requested. Then, ask the two persons who are writing your recommendations to send them directly to me through the mail. You will need to complete attached the application. You can also find the application on the Zonta International Website: www.zonta.org. Click on “Global Impacts” then “Education” then “Young Women in Public Affairs” then “Apply.” They may be filled in online but must then be printed and sent to me in the mail.

United Steel Workers (USW) Hugh Carcella Scholarship Program
Chandler Ramsey Scholarship
The Chandler Ramsey Scholarship is presented in memory of Chandler Ramsey, a West Perry High School Student who passed away in a car accident in December 2018. Chandler loved music and was part of the chorus and musicals at West Perry High School. The Scholarship is offered by the West Perry Music Partnership and Danny and Chrissy Brown, Chandler’s parents. It is open to seniors who are participating in any Partnership supported program (e.g., chorus, bands, guard) and who attend West Perry High School, West Perry Cyber School, or Cumberland Perry Vo-Tech. The Scholarship must be used for secondary education expenses in any course of study.
The Scholarship is in the amount of $1,000.00 and is open to students in all fields of study.
Scholarship applications will be available for students on February 16, 2021. They will be available in the West Perry High School Guidance Office or by requesting from the West Perry Music Partnership via email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Applications are due to the Guidance Office on March 26, 2021.
Cantor & Team Orthodontics Scholarship
Please come to the Counseling Center for a paper copy of the application. Completed information due to the Counseling Center by March 30th.
Penn-Cumberland Garden Club - $1,000.00 Scholarship
This Scholarship will be given to a current high school senior who is planning to attend a four-year college with a major in one of the following: Horticulture, Floriculture, Landscape Architecture, Conservation, Forestry, Urban or Regional Planning, Environmental Science, Botany or Ecology related studies. Applications are available on our website www.penncumberlandgardenclub.org Applications are due by March 31, 2021.
Perry County Old Iron Collectors Scholarship Information
The Perry County Old Iron Collectors, Inc. (PCOIC) will present a scholarship(s) totaling up to $1,000 to graduating seniors who meet the club’s criteria and plan to enter a field of study related to one of the following:
• Agricultural and Extension Education
• Agricultural Science
• Animal Bioscience
• Environmental Soil Science
Graduating seniors who reside in the Greenwood School District, Newport School District, Susquenita School District, or West Perry School District are eligible to apply for the PCOIC scholarship.
Applications must be received by March 31, 2021. Please see the Counseling Center for a copy of the application.
Perry County Sportsmen for Youth Scholarship
The applicant must be a senior and must be entering a field of study relating to wildlife management, forestry, conservation, and environmental science or related field.
Paper applications are available in the counseling center.
Applications must be postmarked by March 31, 2021.
Roland E. Dunkelberger Scholarship (Deadline Extended to April 1)
1. Graduating senior from West Perry High School with plans to attend a school of higher education as a full-time student.
2. Minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher

Justin Boose Memorial Scholarship Deadline April 1 – First recipient selected in 2021
1. A male graduating senior of West Perry High School planning to attend a two or four year college as a full time student
2. Involvement in sports or other extracurricular activity in addition to their academic curriculum
3. Preference will be given to a graduate who is entering a healthcare profession, such as nursing, medicine, physical, occupational or speech therapy, or other related service profession or special education.
4. Minimum GPA of 3.0

Steven Hile Leadership Scholarship
Purpose: To provide a one-time scholarship to one (1) deserving female and male from the West Perry High School Senior class who has demonstrated the value of leadership in school, activities, and the community.
Award Components: One (1) $250 scholarship will be awarded to one (1) female and one (1) male selected by the family of Mr. Hile.
Paper copies of the application may be obtained at the Counseling Center - deadline to apply is April 2, 2021.
PA School Counselors Association Scholarship
Do you have a Counselor that has made a difference in your life and would like to tell the story? You could win a $1,000 scholarship for college, please see the details below.
Eligibility & General Guidelines:
- Participants should be high school seniors planning to pursue a post-secondary education.
- Please submit a one (1) page essay of no more than 500 words (single spaced, double spaced between paragraphs) on a School Counselor who has made a difference in your academic, career and/or social-emotional development.
- The School Counselor you are writing about must be a certified School Counselor, employed as such in Pennsylvania.
- ALL Essays must be submitted with a PSCA Essay Competition Entry Form (attached).

Joni Williamson Scholarship
Joni Williamson served as Executive Director of the Perry County Council of the Arts for 10 years. Under her guidance, PCCA evolved into an organization that supports the Arts, Arts education, and Arts-related tourism on a regional level, but always pays deference to its local, rural roots. In 2008, the Board of Directors established the Joni Williamson Scholarship Fund to honor Joni and to each year recognize a graduating Perry County senior who has shown dedication to and/or an aptitude for the Arts. This year, the Joni Williamson Scholarship will be $250.
In order to be eligible for the Joni Williamson Scholarship, an applicant:
• Must be a graduating senior from one of the four Perry County school districts,
• Must have an acknowledged dedication to and/or aptitude for the Arts - literary, musical, visual, dance, or theatre,
• Must be planning to continue his or her artistic pursuits, either through academics or extracurricular activities, in a two- or four-year institution,
• Must submit by April 2, 2021:
o one recommendation from an adult, preferably a teacher or instructor, who is able to comment on his or her artistic endeavors,
o a short essay (500 words or less) that addresses the items below:
• What does your Art mean to you? Why do you do it?
• How do you intend to continue your artistic pursuits?

Ernest R. McDowell Health Career Scholarship

The Sparks Foundation - Scholarships for Science Majors
The SPARKS Foundation College Scholarship Committee encourages applications from all high school students in their senior year whose intended major is in an area of the sciences and who are in need of financial assistance. The committee also considers scholastic achievement, academic promise and science related extracurricular activities in addition to financial need.
The program of study should be full time (2-year or 4-year) and one which will result in a degree or diploma. The Committee relies on the accuracy and completeness of the information provided in the application in order to choose recipients each year. Both the student and the parent(s) should carefully review the application for accuracy and sign where indicated.
The SPARKS Foundation board of directors have decided to offer six $1,000 scholarships this year. Last year we had 40 stellar applicants – and that was with a much longer application! We have stream-lined the application, which you may find on our website: www.sparksfoundation.org.
Deadline is April 8, 2021 - Paper copies of the application are available at the Counseling Center.
HFC/JLC Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship was established following Jeffery L. Campbell's final Triumph, June 12, 1991at the age of 29, when he died after a 17-month battle with leukemia. Jeff's parents, brother, wife and relatives realized during those 17 months, the important part of healthcare providers play for seriously ill patients.
Applications are on file in the counseling center for an $8,000 scholarship ($2,000 annually for four years) for seniors entering a postsecondary school and majoring in the “Medical Field” (broadly interpreted). Application deadline is April 9, 2021.
Penn State Scholarship Application
The Perry-Juniata Counties Penn State Alumni Association is offering a $1,000 scholarship. Applicants who have been accepted to Penn State and meet the eligibility requirements are encouraged to apply

Landisburg Lions Club - $500 Community Service Award
The Landisburg Lions Club is happy to announce an annual community service award. The purpose of this award is to foster the importance of participating in service throughout one’s life. The club plans to give, at a minimum, two $500 awards. The awards will be given to two applicants who meet the following requirements:
Student completes and submits this application by April 15th of the current school year.
Student lives within the service area of the Landisburg Lions Club. That includes Elliottsburg (17024), Landisburg (17040) and Loysville (17047).
Student must reside in the West Perry School District.
This award must be used to continue your education at a two-year, four year, or technical school. The award will be paid to the recipient at the end of the first college semester after the award committee receives formal notification of a minimum 2.0 GPA for that first semester.

CAEA 2021 Scholarship Program
The Capital Area Education Association is pleased to announce their 2021 Special Education Scholarship Program. This year, one scholarship of $500.00 will be given to a qualified applicant.
Two groups of individuals may apply; seniors currently attending a high school in one of the CAIU member districts or paraprofessionals currently working for the CAIU who are volunteer members of the CAEA. Applicants must plan to enroll or be enrolled in a program of study that leads to a degree in Special Education, Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, Audiology, Adaptive Physical Education or School Psychology.
Pick up a paper copy of the application in the Counseling Center. Completed applications are due by April 15, 2021. Results will be announced by May 10, 2021.
Pennian Bank Scholarship Opportunity
Pennian Bank will be awarding scholarships to three local high school seniors who plan to further their education. They will award two, $1000 and one, $500 scholarships. Students will be required to complete an application to be considered for a scholarship.
• The two, $1000 scholarships need to be either a customer of Pennian Bank or the applicant must have an immediate family member as a customer. There is no restriction on their field of study, as long as they are furthering their education beyond high school
• The $500 scholarship will be for a student furthering their education in an agricultural-related field. This applicant does not have to be a customer of Pennian Bank.

Carlisle Area Healthcare Auxiliary
The Carlisle Area Healthcare Auxiliary annually provides scholarship funds to qualified recipients that plan to enter a program as a R.N., L.P.N. Medical Technician, Physical Therapist, Respiratory Therapy, Surgical Technician or Radiology Technology. The applicant must be accepted into a school/program to receive a degree or certification in one of the above approved professions. Students accepted into a Pre-Program will not be eligible.
The recipient will be selected on the basis of financial need, personal commitment and scholastic record. Deadline for submitting is April 15, 2021.

2021 Road to Safety Scholarship Contest for High School Seniors
Information from the Metzger Wickersham Law Firm:
Each year, many young lives are drastically changed or cut short by risky behaviors like driving under the influence of alcohol or texting while driving. Motor vehicle crashes involving teenagers are especially heartbreaking, because most of these teen tragedies are fully preventable.
At Metzger Wickersham personal injury law firm, we are committed to promoting education and awareness about safe driving through community outreach. We would like to remind you of our annual Road to Safety Scholarship Contest, which encourages young drivers to get involved in spreading the message to keep our roads safe.
Graduating, college-bound seniors may submit a creative project about the dangers of drunk driving or distracted driving for their chance to win college scholarship money. First, second and third place winners will be selected by our panel of judges and will receive $1,000, $750 and $500 scholarships, respectively.

SVANN has adopted a mission to provide scholarships to local high school students entering the nursing profession.
SVANN will be offering several $500 scholarships to students in Dauphin, York, Cumberland and Perry Counties. The student must be entering the nursing profession at the RN level in either an A.D.N.or B.S.N. program. Candidates should have a GPA of at least 2.75 and are required to submit their high school transcript with the application. Students should include a copy of the letter of acceptance to the college they have chosen.
Applications for these scholarships will be accepted until April 30, 2021. Please include a 500 word essay addressing the following topic: It takes a certain kind of person to become a nurse. Give an example of a time you went above and beyond to care for a loved one or a stranger.

New Bloomfield Elementary PTO Scholarship
Each year, the New Bloomfield Elementary PTO chooses a scholarship award recipient entering
into the Education field.
Applicants who are majoring in Education, with preference given to
Special Education and meet the eligibility requirements are encouraged to apply.

Ashley Graham Memorial Scholarship
Thank you for your interest in the Ashley Graham Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is given in loving memory of Ashley thanks to generous donations from West Perry’s staff and friends and family of Ashley.
Born on February 25, 1986, Ashley would grow to be a person of resilient strength, a caring heart, and the most contagious laugh. Her creative flair was evident early on and transformed into a love for fine art. A graduate of West Perry and Pennsylvania College of Art and Design, Ashley left her mark. She was active in sports at a young age, from softball, to basketball, field hockey, and track. Her artistic talent was beyond compare. She could capture a moment, a feeling, with the click of a camera or a flick of paint. She was an inspiring artist. Ashley’s loving and thoughtful heart was central to her character. She cherished her family. She adored her friendships and customers. Ashley painted the world a beautiful place. Her laughter, her joy, her love, will be everlasting.
We would like to honor Ashley’s memory by giving a deserving high school senior a scholarship to assist towards the pursuit of his/her/their future goals. Eligibility is as follows:
· Applicants must be a senior at West Perry High School.
· Applicants must be involved in at least 2 sports.
· Applicants must feel a passion and love for art.
· Applicants must have taken at least 3 art classes in high school
· Applicants must have a GPA of at least 80%
· Applicants must be pursuing education beyond high school.

The Scott & Hoffnagle Scholarship Fund (the “Fund”) is excited to offer College Scholarship Awards for the Continuing Education of an individual pursuing higher education in a Construction related field.

American Dreams Realty LLC Scholarship Opportunity
Hi Seniors! We wanted you to be aware of a scholarship that isn’t based on your GPA! The PB&J Foundation is offering high school seniors awards of $500 to $1000. The PB&J Scholarship is for students who have experienced personal challenges that may not have allowed them to perform well academically, but who still have the drive to succeed. Examples of personal challenges include, but are not limited to- medical issues, peer issues, bullying, change of school, minority status, etc. Also, family issues- divorce, death, lack of income, homelessness, foster care, abuse, etc. When in doubt, students are encouraged to apply; this scholarship is meant to be inclusive.Click here for more information
