A BIG Thank You to our Families!

Thank you so much for all of the candy donations, for the car decorations, for the pumpkins, and for making our Trunk or Treat such a fun time for Carman Trails last Friday! Everyone had a great time -- all thanks to you!

In addition, we are holding a "Family In-Person Book Fair Shopping Time" on Wednesday, Nov. 3rd from 4:30 - 6:00 p.m. Please click the link below to sign up for the time you wish to be here!

Plus, the online Book Fair will run from November 1st through the 15th -- you can shop there any time! More information about eWallets and the Book Fair can be found at the following link:

There will be a Virtual Bingo for Books with Mrs. Manley on Nov. 5th starting at 6:00 p.m. on Zoom -- Bingo begins at 6:10 p.m.

And let's not forget that Daylight Savings Time ENDS on Saturday night, November 6th -- set your clocks BACK one hour when you go to bed that night!

See the Updates Section of the Paw Print for even more dates to remember -- November is going to be a fun, full month!

With CT Pride,

Dr. Love

Colder Temperatures Have Arrived

Just as a reminder: the temperatures have started dropping, and students will continue to have outdoor recess (possibly PE as well) unless the weather is inclement (raining, snowing). Please be sure to send a jacket with your student to school every day; we do have extras in the lost and found that students are welcome to use if they forget their jacket.

Bingo for Books!

Bingo for Books is back and we are going virtual with our Bingo this year!

You should have received a flyer from your student (see the photo on the left) about the event. Please note at the bottom of the flyer is important information needed in order to coordinate the event: your student's name, their teacher's name, and the number of people playing.

RSVP's need to be turned in to Mrs. Manley by Monday, November 1st -- the Zoom link will be available prior to the start of the Bingo game on November 5th at 6:00 p.m.

If you have any questions about Bingo for Books, please feel free to email Mrs. Manley at the address below.

Carman Trails Elementary

Our Carman Cougar Spotlight this week goes to 2 of Ms. Moellering's 1st Grade students: Liam Gogel & Bennet Swanger!

The message we received on the Google Form (link below) stated:

"After snack before going to the gaming truck, Liam asked where a trash can was. They helped gather trash from everyone."

We are so proud of our responsible students!

Come be a part of our character recognition efforts! Now, whenever you see a student (or staff member) demonstrating character outside of school, you can nominate them using this Google Form - linked here:

Nominees will be randomly selected and spotlighted in future Paw Prints and possibly other school communications. By submitting a photo (by choice, not required), you are granting permission for us to use the photo in school-related communications.

Thank you for your help in recognizing and spotlighting character in our students!
