Dear LMS Ram Family:
I hope this this message finds you safe and well. It was so exciting to welcome back a small number of students on Tuesday, September 8th. We will continue to offer small numbers of students the opportunity to return to in person learning. The plan set forth by the district allows for students who are most academically in-need to return first and in small, controlled numbers. Please see the Transition to In Person Learning Infographic below which outlines who will be brought back to campus using the tiered approach and as health metrics allow. While we are looking forward to the day when all of our students are safely back in our buildings the district is working to balance the need to have students back in classrooms with the need to ensure student and staff safety.
There is no anticipated timeline or schedule for when groups will be allowed to return to in-person instruction as it is dependent on health conditions. However, NISD will monitor conditions on a regular basis and decisions on which students will be brought back for in-person instruction will be communicated to families.
As a general guideline, families who selected in-person instruction will have a two-week notice for when their child may return. We know that many families are excited about the prospect for in-person learning and so are we! However, we will ramp up numbers of students in buildings slowly to ensure the safety of our students, their families, and staff. Please bear with us as we try to make the best decisions for everyone.
On another note, it was thrilling to connect with many of our families at the Parent Engagement Group Meeting on Tuesday evening. We had over 63 individuals in attendance. I appreciate your time and willingness to participate in the Parent Engagement Group and look forward to a productive school year.
It is a privilege to serve as your child's principal. I am available via phone or email and return calls and emails within 24 hours.

Schoology Parent Accounts
You will receive an email with your student's Schoology Access Code and instructions for creating a parent account. If you are not able to access the email, you can reach out to your child's teacher for the access code. Schoology offers parents many options to view classwork, grades, and upcoming assignments. You can also check attendance, look for overdue assignments, and communicate with your student's teachers.
