District Library Circulation, Library Classes, and Resources
9,479 Books Checked Out at FHSA
The Little Rock School District has a new library automation system, Destiny. So far this year, FHSA students have recorded the most books checked out in the district. Special Recognition to 4th grade and 3rd grade for having the highest circulation here at Forest Heights (students in these grade levels often free flow to the library during the week).
Star Spangled Banner
With current events and state legislation related to the Star Spangled Banner, students participated in a research discussion about the lyrics and background of the National Anthem. For a limited time, check out student responses and student work on display in the library.
Holiday and Other Research
Checkout the new OPAC (Classlink > Destiny Discovery) for your holiday project research and Science/STEM projects. Books and databases resources are available.
Tech Cards
The Central Arkansas Library System has donated Tech Cards to LRSD students again this year. The cards allow students to use CALS Overdrive, databases and other online resources. Students should receive their Tech Cards through the school library. Contact Ms. D. Williams, LMS for details.
Curriculum Resources
K-5 teachers check out the curriculum corner in the library that has many Wit and Wisdom resources (book titles). Middle School teachers be sure to submit requests for items to use with your class and/or for general check-out.
