What is Fraud?
Fraud is defined as deception for personal gain. This means that people trick you into giving out personal information so that they can use it to get your stuff. Fraud can also be committed when people online claim they are selling something, but really you are just giving them your money and they never send you anything. This is called Retail or Auction fraud.
What does fraud look like?
Fraud is usually behind anything you see on the internet that looks too good to be true. It usually asks you to input personal information in order to get something that looks too good to be true.
How do I stay clear of fraud?
Mainly, you just want to look at only sources you trust when presented with an offer. Also, you can check customer ratings for that service or provider before you buy from them.
