Welcome Back!

We hope this finds you starting off your school year in the best possible ways! For us, that means you are building relationships between staff members and with students. Creating a collaborative culture on campus is the foundation to all the other work you do.

We are so glad to be walking alongside you in your HRS journey, whether you are new to High Reliability Schools or are one of our continuing campuses. Below you will find information about training for schools in Cohorts 1 through 5.

Some things to keep in mind...if you are in Cohorts 1-3, you have the option of attending any of our current offerings as long (please register ahead of time) as a way of sustaining the work you are doing or refreshing your knowledge in a current level or topic. If you are in Cohorts 4 or 5, you will have current training to attend.

Looking at 2019-20

Cohorts 1, 2 and 3

We know that campuses in our Cohorts 1, 2 and 3 are still working on sustaining current HRS Levels in addition to continuing to advance in the framework. That means you may need additional training or a refresher on certain aspects of HRS. Take a look at the training calendar below for Cohorts 4 and 5 to see what topics will be covered throughout the year. You and your campus are able to send participants to any of these sessions. You do not have to send an entire leadership team and can use these sessions to "catch up" on topics or as refresher courses. We do ask that you register in advance so that we can be prepared for the correct number of attendees.

Please note that any session on the schedule that includes Action Planning will require survey data at that particular level. These surveys can be found in your HRS Handbook and will need to be administered locally. These can be done through Google forms, Survey Monkey, etc.

As you are looking at the schedule, keep in mind that those sessions in Cohort 5 will be presented to leadership teams completely new to the HRS process while those being conducted with Cohort 4 groups will assume some level of understanding as they are in their second year of HRS.

Cohorts 4 and 5

Cohorts 4 and 5 will receive additional leadership training in the 2019-20 school year. You can find the schedule below. These campuses will also have new ASOT training sessions (for a brand new ASOT team) as well, which are also found on the schedule.

Cohort 4 Info

The next session for Cohort 4 is September 19. In this session, we will be action planning in Level 1 or 2 (depending on your current level). You will need survey data at this session. You can use the surveys in the HRS Handbook (the gray and white book). Feel free to modify these surveys in length or in wording when you conduct your survey, whether through Google Forms, Survey Monkey, another digital tool or pencil/paper forms. This is extremely important for your team to have with you on Sept. 19 so that you can plan for your year ahead.

Cohort 5 Info

The next session for Cohort 5 will be September 18. In this session, we will be taking a deep dive into Level 1, including information about administering surveys. These surveys will be used at the October 10 session for action planning.

Quick Data and Certification

You can find quick data forms or templates on our site here. It might be helpful to plan out what quick data you will want to collect, when and by whom now before the year gets too busy. This is key when you are thinking about sustaining your current level of HRS and moving toward an action plan in your next level.

On this site, you'll also find information on the certification process, including an application that will need to be processed prior to our scheduling a Marzano associate for certification.

Cohort 4 Leadership Team Session

In Session #346974, Cohort 4 leadership teams will be using survey data to create an action plan for Level 1 or 2. It is extremely important that Cohort 4 campuses have administered some type of survey for the current level of their HRS work.

Cohort 5 Leadership Team Session

In Session #346981, Cohort 5 leadership teams will dive into Level 1 in more detail and will learn about using surveys to gather critical information for this level. This survey data will be used in October for action planning.
