Online Learning Device Deployment
I hope that you are all well. By now I am sure that you have heard that that due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), our schools will remain closed through May 4, 2020. However, we are eager to begin working with our students again. Soon you will receive more details in regards to our plans for online learning using Edgenuity. We appreciate your patience as our district makes the transition for thousands of students.
Students will need a computer and internet access to participate in the online learning plans. Students who need to borrow a device should come to El Camino tomorrow 3/20 between 10-6 pm with a parent/guardian. We will be distributing Chromebooks, chargers and cases for students to use at home.
I have attached the VUSD Device Contact and other resources for you to review. To receive a computer, both parent and student must sign the contract and submit it tomorrow. We will have contacts available on site tomorrow.
Times are difficult, but I am confident that we will all get through it and soon we will be back on campus for learning and support.

- Ventura College classes continue their transition to remote/online instruction. Please continue to follow through with your courses and do the best you can. Contact your teacher and counselor if you find that you are significantly struggling due to the transition. We will work with you to find supports/solutions.
- Our counselors will soon be reaching out to all students to provide direction on how to complete the forms required for registration.
- Registration for the Summer and Fall terms has been postponed from April 9 to April 30.
