Great Karoo
The Great Karoo is a semi-desert over 400,000 kilometers and stretches across South Africa. Most of the land in the north is rugged and in the south, it is flat. Sheep and goats graze on the land which is fertile where irrigated along the stream courses. Fruit and grains are the bigger crops, principal towns are Graaf-Reinet, Beaufort West, and Aberdeen.
