During the 2021-22 school year many districts participated in the NeMTSS Systems Day training at ESU 9. During these sessions, a lot of great information was presented and participating schools had time to discuss the information and make preliminary plans for what it will look like in their district.
Last summer, ESU 9 offered "Culture & the Brain" utilizing the work of Zaretta Hammond. There is still so much to learn! Join us again or for the first time to engage in practices that support, engage, and empower the learning of all students.

In June of 2021, Student Achievement Partners released a review of the Wonders Curriculum. The review found that Wonders has a weakness in the area of knowledge acquisition as well as so many options of varied quality and relevance, that teachers can easily wind up teaching the weak components and leaving out what is aligned.

NWEA MAP Reading Fluency is an adaptive computer-based assessment. This assessment utilizes headphones for the assessment so that multiple students can be assessed at one time. Focusing on the Science of Reading and the developmental process of learning to read, this adaptive tool tests students in a systematic way that provides a comprehensive understanding of where every student is on their reading journey.
