- LOCATION: Springfield Public Schools - Special Services / Roseanne Bentley Building 1610 E Sunshine, Springfield MO (South side of Sunshine across from Hogan Title Company) You will need to enter from the front of the building to sign in and the receptionist will direct you to the meeting room.

SW-RPDC Offerings
A few new training opportunities from SW-RPDC have been added for next year.
1. Creating Standards Based IEPs
The Standards Based IEP training takes the participants through the steps involved in developing a process of planning that improves the development of the IEP and helps the IEP team participants see the importance of connecting instructional goals to the general curriculum and grade-level standards. Emphasis is placed on aligning IEP goals with the Missouri Learning Standards.
This training will be "hands on" and teachers must bring copies of IEPs for their students. Technical assistance will also be offered on this day.

2. IEPs Based on the DLM Essential Elements
This training will guide participants through the process of using Dynamic Learning Maps(DLM) Essential Elements to develop goals and objectives in English Language Arts(ELA) and Math for Individual Educational Programs(IEPs) for students with the most significant cognitive disabilities and are assessed with the MAP-A.
Learning objectives include: 1. Review of the DLM Claims and Conceptual Areas 2. Review and identify DLM Essential Elements-Linked IEP goals and the related Claims and Conceptual Areas of the DLM MAP 3. Review the Linkage levels/Nodes and Mini-Maps 4. Review the grade level blueprints for instruction and IEPs 5. Learn how to write SMART goals/short-term objectives
This module is based on the principles and learning objectives of the DESE trainings for developing a Standard-Based IEP. You will find it helpful to have completed the Standards Based IEP Training before attending this training.
This training will be "hands on" and teachers must bring copies of IEPs for their students. Technical assistance will also be offered on this day. The last part of the day will be spent writing goals and objectives for MAP-A students in the areas of ELA and Math.
