News from Mrs. Day & Mrs. Stasney
For the week of September 9th
Thanks for coming!
Thanks to all of you who were able to attend Parent Orientation last week! Hopefully any questions you had about 3rd grade were answered! If you still have questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to contact us! Email is the easiest and fastest way for us!
For those of you unable to attend, the handouts from the meeting will be coming home in your child's Monday folder. Most of the information we covered during the presentation is also covered in the handouts!
McTeacher Night!
Monday, September 9th, is McTeacher Night for Creek View at the McDonald's on Rock Prairie Road! Creek View gets back 20% of the total sales between 5 pm and 8 pm! This is a huge fundraiser for our school! Hope to see you there!
Individual Pictures coming up!
Students will have their individual pictures taken next Tuesday, September 17th, during school hours. An order form will be coming home this week in Monday folders. :)
Friends & Family Boards
If you have not already done so, please send in a picture or two that we can display on our Friends & Family Boards in our classrooms! The students love being able to see pictures of their own families, as well as the families of their classmates, during the school day!
Science Safety
Mrs. Watson put some Mentos in Coke to teach the importance of wearing safety goggles when doing experiments that may erupt into your face!
Science Safety
Mrs. Moring taught the students about wafting and the importance of rolling up their sleeves in her demonstration!
Little Problems vs. Big Problems
Mrs. Surovik, the counselor, taught both classes about the differences between little problems (problems the students can solve themselves) versus big problems (problems that need an adult to solve).
