September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month
Get involved and participate in our awareness & fundraising events.
Go GOLD this Friday
Hawks are encouraged to wear yellow or gold.
B+ Day
Hawks are asked to wear any B+ shirt they have from over the years. Shirts are also available for sale in the school store. T-shirts are $12 and Long sleeves are $20. $5 from each shirt sold is being donated to the B+ Foundation.
PJammin For Childhood Cancer
$1 donations will be collected in the morning and during lunches either in the school store or the cafeteria. Hawks who donate $1 will get a gold wristband to show their support and get to wear school appropriate PJs to school to signify the countless hours that children spend in the hospital undergoing cancer treatment in their PJs. All money collected is being donated to the B+ Foundation.

Sign up HERE if you wish to attend. All Hawks are welcome. Please note this event is being held at Hodgson Vo-Tech on Saturday, September 16th.
FAM FAIR
All Hawks are welcome to visit the info tables during lunches on Wednesday, September 20th to learn about the affinity groups available at St. Georges Tech.
NCCVT Unity Day
All Hawk leaders have the opportunity to attend, but limited space is available. NCCVT is bringing student leaders together from all 4 schools for a day of team building and leadership enhancement. Contact Mrs. Jessica Bell if you are interested in attending this event.
Underclassmen Yearbook Photo Information

No paper forms will be given out.
Wednesday, September 13th
Students will report to the library during their scheduled photo time according to their CTE and Career Class.

Deadline 9/15
St. Georges Tech is looking for the best of the best in each career area to represent our school in the National Technical Honor Society. No late applications will be accepted. Emails will be sent out by the end of the month letting students know if they were deemed eligible for NTHS. Applications can be picked up outside the Student Activities Office or printed HERE.
Guidance Event: Paying For College
Thursday, September 28th, 2023
6:30pm - 7:30pm
Seniors and senior families are invited to attend this free event hosted by our guidance department. The event is held in the lecture hall, please enter the school through the gym/lecture hall doors. Contact Mr. Bythwood with questions.
Paying for College Presentation:
This presentation delivered by NexGen financial aid experts teaches 12th grade students and families how to apply for financial aid for college, receive further information, such as time lines, required tax information and have individual questions addressed about the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) as well as federal loan programs.

Appointment link will become live for additional October dates a week or so prior to the picture date. October 6th will be the absolute final day to have your senior photos taken and included in the yearbook.
