Message From Principal Webb
Hello families-
Oh my goodness! So much fun was had this week at Longfellow! Monday started our week by celebrating positive behavior at our PBIS assembly, then we had 6th-grade music shares and ended the week with 100th day and International Night. I have tried to include a sample of pictures below of the different happenings.
Mark your calendar for future Longfellow events. PTA will have their monthly meeting on Tuesday and the Art Show, Parent-Teacher conferences and Talent show will be coming up in the next month.
Finally, congratulations to Jamie Swartzendruber, Longfellow Kindergarten teacher, on receiving the district Shine Award. Way to go Mrs. S!
Have a great weekend!
Sincerely,
Kelli Webb

MARK YOUR CALENDARS
Anyone can join the PTA! We ask for a $10 “goodwill” donation when you join, but this fee is totally optional. Please note that our next meeting has been moved to Tuesday, February 11, 2020, to accommodate for caucus night. We will meet at 6:30 p.m. in the Longfellow library. All are welcome, and we hope to see you there!
CARNIVAL TIME
Every year, Longfellow holds a schoolwide carnival that also is our biggest fundraiser. This year’s carnival will be on Saturday, April 18, 2020, so please save the date! The event will include games, a cakewalk, raffles, and a silent auction, as well as food for sale. We will have more details in the weeks to come, but we hope your whole family can attend. The carnival is a fantastic event, and the money it raises helps us provide field trips, classroom and media support, special school experiences, and more!
