Speed Geeking at Hook October Faculty Meeting
At Hook Elementary's October 16th faculty meeting the teachers spent an hour Speed Geeking with six "nerds". Each "nerd" introduced the teachers to an iPad app for use in their classroom. See the links below for the featured apps.

Presented by nerd Kathy, ShowMe turns your iPad into an interactive whiteboard. Teachers and students can create videos showing how they worked out a problem.
Skitch
Presented by nerd Amber, allows you to add text, shapes and more to photos. Snap a photo, mark it up and send it on!
Sock Puppets
Presented by nerd Stephanie, allows students and teachers to create videos using a variety of puppets, props and scenery.
Socrative
Presented by nerd Lisa, brings smart clickers to a new level to engage your entire class. Create quizzes, polls and more.
ThingLink
Presented by nerd Fraun allows students to make images come alive by adding video, notes or even music.
