Frequent Questions
What is Restorative Practices?
Restorative Practices can be defined many ways. We define it as:
A set of daily practices guided by the belief that people are happier, more cooperative and productive, and more likely to make positive choices when guided toward independent, self-aware, and self-validating thought processes.
In our intro Restorative Practices training, you can expect to learn and understand the origins and philosophy of this foundational methodology. You'll also experience a circle and explore the easy pathway to integrating these practices into your teaching right away. In the higher levels of training, Restorative Practices 1, 2, and facilitator levels, you'll gain an in-depth understanding and develop your own style of teaching others this transformational practice.
Watch our calendar for other specialized workshops as well, covering such topics as team teaching, classroom management, working with special needs students, and more throughout the year.
What happens in a circle?
In a monthly circle you'll meet with fellow educators, administrators, teaching artists, parents, counselors, and anyone who has an interest in children's education. Your circle facilitator will ignite conversations that are meaningful, action-oriented, and will leave you feeling supported and inspired by your community. Circles are also an incredible way to network with people in and out of your industry.
How many people will be there?
Our circles and workshops are best when conducted with a group of 8 - 35 participants.
My team can't make it to a training - will you come to us?
Yes, absolutely! Send us an email with your suggested dates and we are happy to accommodate your team of 8 - 35 people at your location.

No...anyone who is curious about any of our topics, is involved in education in any way, or is aspiring to be involved in education is encouraged to attend. Our clients include psychologists, parent coaches, classroom teachers, administrators, college students, and more.
